Gail - it was soooo wonderful to meet you and your husband the other day! Those documents, photos, letters, and medals that you have of Dick's are precious and priceless.  I am glad that you are the one who is keeping them safe and that you recognize their importance.

Thank you for sharing a glimpse of his life with me. I'm sure that his new bride and the rest of his family was devastated by his death - and I hope that someday you will find out more information about his time aboard Indy as well as how he passed away.

Tell Louis that it was an absolute delight to spend time with you guys and I look forward to visiting Sitka again.

Survivor Ed Harrell remembers Sgt Tracy.  I just spoke to him today about your posting.

Gail, I am researching your Uncle Richard Tracey to determine if he lived in Walla Walla County Washington State prior to his WWII service.  Walla Walla is erecting a WWII memorial and we are trying to determine if his name belongs on it.
