First, thank you for your service.  What an inspiration you are and an impact you've made on our world.  

My family is full of Veterans.  I served in the Army, my younger brother-the Marines, and my older brother-the Army, as well.  Because we have such a family of military Veterans, our mother felt led to lead the Military Mission at her church, Cornerstone Christian, in Brownsburg, IN.  She's been doing for years now.  Each year, she puts on a nice dinner for the Veterans of the community.  Its a time of wonderful fellowship and inspiration to those who served and their families.  

This year, the event will be held on November 1, 2013.  We have a poignant speaker at each event and we are looking for one for this year.  I wonder...are there any survivors nearby who would be willing to speak to my mother's group?  I know she would be delighted and the the attendees would just love to hear the story of the USS Indianapolis.
