I hate to say this of anything I ever would see on TV but I think it has changed my life.
I wish I could have one percent of the courage those boys had in my every day life..
I get damned stress if my clothes take too long to dry....If my favorite ball team doesn't do well...Or if I get stuck in traffic.
Damn.
This makes movies like Jaws or any other pop hollywood flick look like total phoney crap!!
I salute my new heroes...the survivors and fallen of the USSIndianapolis...
and I plan to post here often because I would like to know about all the men...
Riveting Documentary. I trust it was accurate...I seemed to think it spent too much time sympathizing sharks..

Learning about the ship and the men, shows how fragile life really is. One minute your sleeping comfortably in your bunk bed, the next minute, you're blown to bits, sucking in water and drowning, or running up the steadily sloping decks only to jump into the oily sea infested with sharks. My hat's off to those who survived, and those that died trying to keep the ship afloat for others.
