My wife and just saw the special this past Sunday night and were so moved by the bravery the men showed. My wife is from the Phillipines so she knows some of the history. We went to dinner earlier this evening (Monday) at El Paso Cantina in Torrance Ca., and as we were getting ready to leave. I noticed this white hair gentleman and I believe his daughter(who was so beautiful), being seated next to us and he was wearing a jacket stating Survior, with the U.S.S. Indianapolis on the back of his jacket. I walked up to him and asked if I could speak to him and I asking if he was one of the surviors. Which he was, he was one of the most gracious men that I have spoken to in such a long time. He made me think so much of my Father who served as a B-29 mechanic during the war. I can't tell you how good he made me feel, I feel so honored to speak to a true hero that served our country.
