I attended the Indianapolis Air Show yesterday and was so very overwhelmed by the fact that quite a number of survivors of this tragedy were sitting calmly signing books for purchase. I would have come up to each and every one of you to shake your hand, but I was so overly emotional I was afraid I wouldn't be able to open my mouth to say anything. My boyfriend was with me and had purchased 2 books and was busy talking with one of the authors and calmly pointed out how overcome with emotion I become when it comes to our fighting men and women. I am so proud of all of you for your job well done. I'm really sorry about the Navy's error in their court-martial of Captain McVay but I commend all of you for "going to the mat" for him. Thank you again survivors and if I get back to Indy next year and you are present, I will make it a point to personally thank each and every one of you for your sacrifices to keep me free.
