I had the honor of meeting Mr. Paul Murphy on a springtime day back in 2006. He was speaking about his USS Indianapolis ordeal in north Denver. What an honor to shake his hand, give him a hug and thank him in person for all he had been through! I cannot thank Paul and all the others who served on the Indy enough, for their service to our country! Because of their mission, we live as a free nation to this day! The Book 317 Survived is quite moving and it is taking me a while to read it. The stories of these survivors are something else to take in! So in Honor of Veteran's Day 2007 quickly approaching, I would like to thank the men of the USS Indianapolis, survivors and those still at sea, for all they had to go through in the aftermath of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis! My gratitude is boundless, my respect runs deep now and always for all of you! God Bless you and God Bless America!
