Hello everyone, I had just watched the story of the USS Indianapolis sinking and the ordeal the crew went through in detail on discovery channel. I am embarrassed to say that I have not heard of the USS Indianapolis at all before that. The story of the survivors' had touched me and my deepest condolences extend to those loved ones of those that did not survive. I am also very shocked to learn that the US navy would concoct such an atrocious scheme on the honored captain McVay in an attempt to maintain their reputation and credibility at that point of time. I would never forget this incident ever..
Deepest admiration to Captain McVay and survivors, Grace

God Bless you Grace. Keep watching for news of the push for legislation in Washington to clear the Captain's name. We will need your support. There is a reunion this summer in Indianapolis. You can see many powerful presentations, and meet the survivors. You can hear them tell their stories, and enjoy the music from the WW II era. I hope you can come !
