Hello,

My name is Jake, I am here for a few reasons. The first is to show thanks and respect to those who have served our country and died for it. I choose this message board due to what I have read and been told about the uss Indianapolis. My grandfather worked with a man by the last name of Porter. At work he was called Paul but my grandfather does not think that is what his first name is. I have looked at the list of those who were one the ship and who survived it many, many times, I can not find Mr.Porter's name on it any where. My grandfather said that he is sure that it is the correct name but to find out for sure I figured I would post here.  Mr.Porter lived in Glendale, Arizona when my grandfather met and worked with him. I hope by posting a name and an area that this might help figure out his real name. I told my grandfather I would do the best I could but am having no luck so far. If anyone could help make this clear it would be great.
