My uncle F. Patrick Kenny was lost on the USS Indianapolis. Recently I found out that you can contact the American Battle Monument Commission www.abmc.gov regarding those sailors that were lost at sea aboard the USS Indianapolis. You can search their name and then request information on them. They will also send you a beautiful photo of the cemetery in Manilla, Philippines along with a photo of their name on the tablets. There is no charge for this service. I wish I had know about this before most of Pat's siblings died. I was able to get a photo for both of his surviving sisters. There is also a service available that there is a monument that you can order through the ABMC also. Please connect to the web site and type in your loved ones name and see what comes up. This is for any military personel that is buried overseas, or is missing in action or lost at sea.
