My grandfather was a fireman on the ship. My grandmother never would talk about what happen and we only know what info we can get from others and general released info. Which is very little about him. We think he had just went on duty when the ship was hit. If anyone knew him and could give me some info on where he was when the ship was hit or anything at all about the kind of person he was or anything negative or positive I would apprecicate it. We only have a picture of him in navy uniform. He was from Burnside, KY, age 26 and had 3 young children. He work for the railroad before the navy. Thanks, granddaughter
