Please join us Tuesday March 31, 7pm at Blue Ridge Community College, Weyers Cave, VA, for a presentation of "Remember the USS Indianapolis CA-35".  The JMU Swing Dance Club opens the program with energizing period dances to three WWII hits.  The Fishburne Military School color guard presents the colors.  Then Kim Nielsen tells the story with an outstanding and original audio/visual backdrop.  Richard Adams plays Taps.  Meet and hear four Survivors (LD Cox, Ed Harrell, Sam Lopez and FJ Outland) and two Rescuers (L. Peter Wren, Bill Van Wilpe of the USS Bassett) describe their experience during a 30-minute Question & Answer session.  Afterwards, meet our guests of honor and have them sign your book. 
This Program repeats Wednesday morning, April 1st, at 10am.  Civil War re-enactors present the colors.  Jack Brown plays Taps.  Our six guests of honor answer questions and afterwards, you can meet them and have them sign your book.  Both programs pay special tribute to the 880 men lost at sea and their shipmates no longer with us.  Come join us for an informative tribute to some special men.

Two full houses!  A parade by Fishburne Military School honoring the Survivors.  A tour of the Civil War Plumb House in Waynesboro, and enlistment ceremony of the 4 Indy Survivors and 2 rescue men into the Federal and Confederate Navy (& Marine Corps for Ed Harrell)...all highlights of their visit.  Kim Nielsen, you are a gem!  Thanks to the Outland family for all your help moving the men around.  Oh, and LD Cox, Kim & I got to stand directly under the bomb bay doors of the Enola Gay...now that's a view not many ever get...thanks to the Air & Space Museum at Dulles for giving us a special after-hours tour!
