I noticed an old gentleman wearing a USS INDIANAPOLIS cap a few days ago in front of a Vallejo CA store. He was a survivor of the sinking, and we had a nice conversation. His first name was Don. I did not ask his last name, but presumably he is from the Vallejo area. As a Navy vet, I tolk him it was an honor to speak with him and hope I have the opportunity again.
