Greetings. My name is Rob Morris, and I am a World War Two military historian. My most popular book, Untold Valor: Forgotten Stories of American Bomber Crewmen Over Europe in World War Two, was published by Potomac back in 2006 and is currently in its third printing. Just finished a comprehensive history of the 95th Bomb Group (H), a B-17 outfit that flew out of England in WWII, and due out later this year from Potomac. I am currently working on a book entitled Untold Valor: The Pacific War. In this book, at present, I have completed chapters on a Navy Cross Winner in the 1st Marine Division on Okinawa; Navy Corpsmen who served with the Marines in combat; a Marine captain on Iwo Jima; a B-29 crewman who became a POW in Tokyo; a B-24 pilot who flew missions from Guam over Japan; a civilian construction worker captured on Wake who became a POW; and several more. I am looking for one or two men from the USS Indianapolis who would be willing to be interviewed for my book. Have read all the books about the Indianapolis, as well as talked to one survivor a few years ago. Any interested parties, please contact me through this forum. The book has already been optioned by a publisher.
Hi Mr Morris,
My father is a survivor of the sinking of the USS Indianpolis. Although he is unable to be interviewed, I do have contact with several other survivors that I am sure would be happy to speak to you. Please contact me at BullardMBullard@aol.com and I can put you in touch with them.
THANKS!
Maria Eck Bullard
Daughter of USS Indianapolis Survivor Harold Eck

Rob, I am trying to get Edgar Harrell USMC to come out to Spokane WA May 21-23 2010 to speak to our boy scouts for our centennial celebration. The boys could get quite a bit out of his story of faith and survival. He would be very interviewable, super nice guy! He has a book out. Here is his web site.
