Has there ever been an effort or is there even a vehicle for the Navy to remove everything pertaining to the court-martial from Capt. McKays record?  I just finished reading Abandon Ship and it seems to be clear that what happened to McKay should never have happened at all.   I know they have cleared him but the website says that the conviction remains on his record.  That is unfair and un American and should be rectified.  Maybe someone in Washington will finally really do the right thing!
