I have recieved a small metal ship wheel charm from my wife's grandmother. Her  brother was a survivor from the Indianapolis and I was trying to get any information I could on this charm. It looks like a small silver ships wheel with the number 25 on one side and on the other it says USS Indianapolis. Does anyone know anything about this charm? Any help would be great, Thanks.

I believe what you are describing is a charm from one of the USS Indianapolis Survivors Reunions. I believe it was probably from the 80s - if my memory serves me correctly! It was available for the attendants at the reunion to purchase.
