This is an excellent website!  My Dad, Herman Easter was a Chief Machinists Mate on the rescue ship, USS Cecil J. Doyle and was active in the rescure.  Dad passed on a while back, but before his death enjoyed going to the "Indy" reunions. 

I'll be checking this site often as I am getting to retire and will be just another old geezer.
