Dear forum members, As I was going through some things that were left by my parents, I found a stack of letters that were addressed to a neighbor at the home where I grew up, which were sent from Mr Ray Brooks, mt 1/c USS Indianapolis. Some of the dates are just a few months before she was sunk. The addressee is Mrs Glen Overstreet who lived across the street from us, and there was a family just behind us which were the Brooks, but we have all long since lost touch. It appears that Mrs Overstreet was Mr Brooks sister. I would like to get these letters to any surviving members of the family if possible.
