It's a very sad story and they had no children. My mother married my father a little over 6 months after this tragedy. I think she felt that if she married and began having children she could get over it easier, but she carried him in her heart until the day she died in 2009. She and my dad had divorced many years ago and he passed away in 1994. When going through her things after her death at age 91 this photo of Nolan was in her Bible. He never stopped being the love of her life. I resented that for many years, but after she died and I found his photo in her Bible I hoped maybe they met again in heaven.

Nolan Kinard was my Great-Uncle. I have his original photo album and promotion certificates. I would be happy to share them.
I would appreciate anything you are willing to share. This man was a part of my life until the day my mother died. She never got over him even though she married my Dad after his tragic death and had 4 children. My personal email is jeanette@szabotx.com
