Hello, Dean Bennett - I believe a corpsman - was my father's cousin who was aboard the Indy.
I was given his name as my middle name.
I would appreciate hearing anything about him.
Not long ago we came across a letter from him written while aboard the ship, about six or seven months before the sinking.

I do see that there was a Dean Randall Bennett in the final sailing crew. His rank was HA1. My records show that he was married to Maxine Bennett at the time of the final sailing, and they lived in Topeka Kansas.
