I am new to this forum. My father, Charles Thomas Meyer was an Indianapolis survivor. He passed away in 1971. He would never talk about his experience on the Indianapolis, so i never learned anything about it from him. As I've grown older, I want to learn more about the tragedy. I suspect there are not many survivors still alive. Still, my hope is that I can find someone that may remember him. He was from Marlin, Texas and from what i understand he was a cook on the ship. Any information would be appreciated. At the very least, I wil be taking a great interest in this forum to learn as much as I can.
