This photo is not Nolen but maybe he sent some photos home of some buddies. My mom was married to him. Compare the photos I posted of him with this one and you can see they are not the same. Love that you have the promotion certificate Not sure why my mom didn't have any of these things,but she tried burying her grief by getting married again 7 months later. She started having kids right away since she had none with him. I was the first and only daughter to 3 brothers. Nolen was a ghost in her marriage. I actually resented him, but hopefully they reunited in heaven and all is well there. At age 92 she dies with his Navy photo inside her Bible. Sad story.
