Hello. I am a High School English teacher in Canada, and I have been using some information from this site for quite a few years with my grade 11 students. I have a transcript of survivor stories (Lewis Haynes, Woody James, and Harlan Twible) from http://www.discovery.com/exp/indianapolis/stories.html that I printed long ago. I also used to use the sound clip recordings, but I can no longer find those online, as the Discovery Channel has removed them. The stories are much more powerful when my students can HEAR the men tell them, rather than simply reading about them on paper. Does anyone know where I can find these recordings now that they are no longer on the Discovery Channel? I have searched online, but been unable to find them.
Thanks!

MrsBaker. The only recording I am aware of is one by survivor Edgar Harell on YouTube. I wish I could help you further. The main reason I am sending you this message is to THANK YOU very much for educating your students about this amazing tragedy / heroic survival story. Keep up the good work !
