Hi Folks;

    I'm a newcomer here to this website; I have no relatives or friends that served on the USS INDIANAPOLIS, but have read some books about the ordeal and have always been fascinated with not only that event, but with that period in history; more importantly, with that generation of people who are becoming fewer and fewer. I was a submarine qualified radioman for six years; I understand that the primary reason that seagoing commands generate a subnote when entering port is because of the Indianapolis situation. I would be interested in any information, stories, or comments regarding the ordeal of the survivors, as well as the deceased. Thank you for the priviledge of letting me post to this site.
