May God Bless all of those surviving and those that didn't

I am a retired MasterChief and just read In Harm's Way, yes I realize it may be late but better late than never, and I felt compelled to express my respect for my fellow shipmates.  Not since reading Four Frigates have I every felt more proud of my Naval service than I did after reading this wonderful retelling of the heroism and strength of will exhibited in this story.  Every crewmember of this ship is an inspiration and role model to the youth of this great nation.  This book should be required reading in school.  Too often, it seems that the sacrifices made by ordinary citizens in service to their country is swept under the rug and discounted.  WELL NOT BY ME!!!   This book will stay with me the remaining years of my life and I intend to spread the word to everyone that I know to read it and reflect on the strength and perseverance found within.  Just as a side note, I live in Bear Lake, Michigan a mere 16 miles from Lewsi Haynes hometown of Manistee, Michigan.  It is indeed a small world.
