Just last winter N. Jerry Mitchell had died due to cancer (d.o.d 12/16/09)  
   This a memorial to my Grandfather and the crew of the Indianapolis, all the love and honor we can give to them. if need to confirm plz go to lsj.com or look in state of mi archieves

So very sorry to hear this news. I will definitely pass the information on to the other survivors, families and friends. Know that his memory and the memory of the sacrifices made by the final sailing crew will continue to live on through us all as we share the story for generations to come.
