I wanted to thank the crew of the U.S.S. Indianapolis for their service but also to say that I am so sorry for all that you went through and also say that to Captain McVay.  This was not your fault and you were a great man.  I wish I could have told you this but I hadn't been born yet.  But please remember, someone out here remembers you and knows that you did your best to serve your country.  I hope you have found peace and I am so grateful for you and your men.
