The failing to report Indy's non arrival at Leight

I am beside myself with anger. I read "In Harm's Way", and ordered "Abandon Ship" today. The incompetency of the U S Navy....to not even NOTICE that after four days one of they're ships and crew...a large crew...were not heard from, reported to, reported from, or had ANY radio contact with, is at the very least disturbing and nightmarish. I served in the Navy for two years in Groton Connecticut. I had no idea that less than 70 years ago,  the navy could be guilty of such a huge mistake and GROSS negligence. A lot of men suffered that day and died, and my heart goes out to the families of those men and out to the men themselves. I am disgusted in the fact that the world's strongest navy didn't seem to give a **** (at least the radioman at Leight didn't ) that such a large ship and crew just "disappeared".I guess I would try to cover up something that damning to if I was the navy. Pathetic. I know people make mistakes, but damn.   ---Ryan Mozert      double_t@live.com
