The Indy's Suite

I've just finished a commerative video for my father, a Marine veteran of Guadalcanal. In making this memorial video of old film and video clips from a variety of sources called "Nightmare in the Pacific,"  I met the "gunnery officer" of the Indy.  He, Lt Bob Van Horne, left the ship for Cosair pilot training a few months prior to the ship delivering "Little Boy."

My project is not for sale.

However, in memory of my Dad and this, the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, I'm simply giving it a way to family, a few friends, and a few vets.

I've made a few movies which some people like a lot, but none have been big commercial successes.  In each movie, I put in a final chapter which is a music video.

Learning from my Indy friend, Bob, that some sailors have also gone thru a true living nightmare in service of country, like my Dad and many others, but -

since I'm a Navy veteran, I became intrigued with the fate of the Indy and its survivors.  So, I put together some of the audio accounts of survivors and also put more than a bit of my creative editing/video/photography work into "The Indy's Suite."

So, if any of you survivors would like a free copy (or would like a copy to make a copy for others), or, if any of you descendants would like the same, I'm willing to send out a free copy.

Keep in mind, most of this two-disc set is some history (contained in old film clips and videos that I've compiled) of pre-war Japan and China, then Pearl Harbor, and several of the battles at Guadacanal.

The "Indy" section is a special feature in the "Bonus" section.  You likely have heard some of the audio accounts (I've only added a few photos during their talks).  Some of you, however, may really enjoy my music-video (about 4 minutes long) entitled "The Indy's Suite."  ......... Jazzbo

I would be very interested in a copy of the DVD as well. I have known a few of the survivors quite well, and I consider Yeoman Vic Buckett one of my best friends. I respect all the crew , especially all the men that never made it home.

Please send me an email at savrph7@aol.com.

Thank you very much for all you have done for the veterans!!
