Does anyone remember USMC PVT John R. Bush(non-survivor)?

PVT John R. Bush was my grandfather who sadly lost his life on the USS Indianapolis. 

He was married shorlty before being deployed and left behind a daughter (my mother). Unfortunately I have never had any contact with his family and do not know much about him as my mother was too young to remember and my grandmother and great grandparents are deceased. I know his family was from Kansas.

Any help would be appreciated.

i know someone that may have some insight about your grandfather. please email me off the board for the contact information. The gentleman I am thinking of was a Marine on board that survived and has a wonderful memory! I am sure you will enjoy corresponding with him. BullardMBullard@aol.com
