Last night my husband and I were reading in (Retired Army Chaplain) Dr. Paul E. Barkey's book, "On This Day," and on the entry for July 29, we read the horrors that you all went through, and then the cover-up against Captain McVay that you fought long and hard against. We can't thank you enough for your service on such an important mission - it went way above and beyond anything that should ever be expected of a soldier for his country. I wanted to let you know about his book, in case you wanted to read his entry about the Indianapolis and her crew. I am pleased to read that there will be a movie coming out about you all in the near future. It will let all Americans know the horrors military members go through for their country - it will allow many more people to know about it and to pray for you all and appreciate the military even more than we already do.
