It would be wonderful if there were any survivors who might have known my uncle who was lost at sea.  Donald Martin Pokryfka was 18 years old.  Is there another message board where I might post, as well?

My father was also in the Navy serving on the USS Lubbock.  After the USS Indpls survivors were brought in my father went looking for his baby brother hoping against hope that he was still alive.

I know it would mean a lot to my father to know that there was someone out there that served with Donald and remembered him.
