Looking for Survivors who may have known Junior Scoggins, my uncle.

Junior Scoggins was a young man, probably in his teens, and was from Bessemer, Alabama.  My dad, his brother, served in WWII under General Patton, in Patton's Third Army in Europe.  My uncle may have talked about this.

I have the letter my grandmother received notifying her of my uncle's demise on the USS Indianapolis. To my knowledge, no one in the family knows exactly how he died.

Any information is greatly appreciated, as is the dedication and sacrifice made by the other crew members of the USS Indianapolis.
