Hi,
  I am the nephew of Wally Mirich, who was a S1 on the Indianapolis and like so many others was lost at sea. I am looking for anyone who can provide me with information as to what happened to him. I would also like to know about him and the time he served and the people he served with, so if anyone remembers him and has a story to share, I would really like to hear it. Thanks.

Hi - There will be a USS Indianapolis presentation in Wanaque, NJ next week - if you are just down the road in Brooklyn (guessing by your screen name), we would love to have you there. 1 survivor and 1 rescuer will be the guests of honor. Perhaps you can get some information on your Uncle Wally.
