I am not much of a history buff, matter of fact, I dont like history much. I picked this book up at barnes n noble and was intrigued by the survival of these men. i was moved to tears on many occasions while reading the book, the men at sea, how they survived, those that helped others even when they themselves could hardly move. How the survivors came together to get their captains named cleared. All so very moving. I am proud to be an American and humbled by those that have gave their lives and served in the Armed forces to keep this country safe and out of Harms way. I wish things could have been different that night and calls would have been made of the Indianapolis' late arrival, etc. I am honored to post here with all of you, survivors, families of those lost. Thank you Doug Stanton for writing this wonderful book.
