Who Decoded the Incoming Top-Secret Message?

To clarify my question, I'm looking for the name or designation of the person who decoded the top-secret message that the "crate" would be loaded onto the Indy at Hunters Point. He was a senior officer, but was he also a Commuications Watch Officer (CWO) or a Coding Room Watch Officer (CRWO)?
