Quilts of Valor presentation
Permalink Closed

I originally sent this as an email to the Second Watch email address located on the website but it bounced back to me. Perhaps someone on the forum can help!

I was recently watching a news story of the reunion of the survivors. I see that next year will be the 70th anniversary of the sinking. I own a quilt shop in Indiana and we have a group who meets once a month for making Quilts of Valor, to be awarded to our military personnel, active and retired. I wonder if the survivors of the USS Indianapolis have been awarded quilts from this organization. If not, I would like for our group to make quilts to be presented to any survivors, possibly attending a memorial ceremony next year. If any are unable to attend, we would make sure their quilt was sent to them.

If anyone on your end might help me to coordinate this, we would be honored to create quilts for these brave men.

Here is a link to my website, to show we are "real". www.rossvillequilts.com

Here is a link to Quilts of Valor, if you are not familiar with the organization. http://www.qovf.org/

 Thank you,

 Marcia
