They call me The Vet Detective. I have a saying: 1,500 World War II Veterans die every day. I cannot get to every one of them, but with your help, I can sure try!  I do this on my own time, have been traveling and working at this endeavor for 12 years now, and even went bankrupt on this project some years ago. All my resources go into gas, hotel stays, and airfare. I will travel to the side of a veteran to talk at the drop of my fedora hat.

Just name a major campaign, battle or historical incident during the war and there is a good chance I have already interviewed at least one Veteran from it. These include: the Bataan Death March, the sinking of the USS Indianapolis, Battle of the Bulge, Iwo Jima, D-Day, Kamikaze attacks, Battle of the Atlantic, Leyte Gulf, the Philippines, Battle of Britain, North Africa, and Okinawa just to name a few. And not just soldiers from America. For while the majority of those I have spoken with are American, I have also interviewed Canadian, British, Polish, Soviet, Jewish Holocaust survivors, and even German and Japanese War Veterans. Recipients of the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Flying Cross, Navy Cross, and even the Iron Cross, I got it. Tuskegee Airmen? Yup!

I have interviewed Elie Wiesel, Les Paul and 150+ WW2/Korean War Veterans... mostly American, but also the enemy they bravely fought against; including Hitler's SS bodyguard, Rochus Misch and a Kamikaze pilot who survived... for my upcoming film and book series, starting with The Vet Detective: In Search of Our WW2 Veterans. As I said, Veterans from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, the former Soviet Union, Poland, Japan, and China have all sat down with me.

I lived in Nebraska until I got a job teaching in Rhode Island at Providence College, a Dominican Catholic College, though I plan on coming home to Norfolk after my work there is finished.

In the coming week, on October 9 - 11, 2014, I am returning to the Midwest to commence the next phase of the Vet Detective's mission... Operation Last Roll Call, a trek across country to interview more surviving WW2 Veterans. And your coverage of this endeavor would help spread the word and get more Vets out of the woodwork to speak with me.

Time is of the essence here in getting the word out please.
